Museum Advisory Group Meeting The group meets the first Monday of every month at 7 PM.
New Hours for the Museum
Starting March 1st the museum will be open Saturday from 1pm to 5pm only. Groups are still be able to schedule Docent Tours of the museum for Monday through Saturday. Please call for in advance to schedule appointments at 530-662-2773.
Sunday evening, July 25th
On Sunday evening, July 25^th, at 6 PM, Dr. Gary Arbino will be lecturing at the Museum about his archaeological work at Biblical Gezer in Israel. Dr. Arbino is Professor of Archaeology and Old Testament at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, CA. He is also the Curator of the Marian Eakins Archaeology Collection. There is no charge for this lecture and it is open to the public.
Saturday morning, September 18^th
Dr. John Moore of Sarasota, Florida will be at the Museum on September 18^th from 10 AM until 3 PM. He will be lecturing on "The Bad Boys of the Bible", which is a study of the Herod Family. Many of you will remember his excellent presentation last year on the Intertestamental Period. This series is free and open to the public.
The Annual Museum Banquet
Our Annual Museum Banquet and silent auction will be on Friday, September 17^th, at 6:00 PM at Woodland United Fellowship. Our guest speaker will be Dr. John Moore and the meal will be catered from Café Morocco in Sacramento. There is no cost for the banquet but we will give everyone an opportunity to support the museum, as it is a fundraiser. You will need to make your reservation for the banquet before September 1^st. We will be offering more information as we get closer to the event.
